I hope you all are as stuffed as we are around here. We had a great time yesterday on Thanksgiving.
Knucklehead and I started the day off by posting a video with good wishes on Facebook. Of course, he had to add his own flare to the end of it.
Then I got busy and set the two tables for our feast.
This is the smaller table I have set up in the kitchen:
The night before Knucklehead and I made a banner that we hung on the mantle. We downloaded a printable, cut it out attached the string and then we hung it. Took about 20 minutes.
Then I have to say, I forgot to take a picture of the Food before we started eating. I probably couldn’t have even if I had thought of it. As soon as it was ready, man everyone was on it like vultures. We were hungry! Also, Shrek had to photobomb the food shot. I cracked up when I saw this picture.
This is my Mom and Dad. I love them.
This is Eddie Baker, Addie’s father and Bette Jarreau, Addie’s Aunt.
Knucklehead, I swear some parents have to worry about their kids not liking to have their picture taken. Not so with Knucklehead. He was saying, “Take a picture of me, take a picture of me.” So I did, here it is.
Then I set the camera up on the stand and took some group pictures.
This is my brother John, Addie his wife, Eddie and Bette.
Then I got a shot of everyone.
Then as everyone was leaving, and I was walking them out and not paying attention to the living room area, I guess a certain someone decided to do a self-portrait. When I started working on the pictures for this post, lo and behold I found this picture on the camera.
That Knucklehead! Never a dull moment I tell you.
If you didn’t notice, The Hubs is missing from my photos. He had to take a job in Indianapolis and while I am very thankful for that, he will be there for at least six months and I miss him terribly. The good news is, my wonderful cousin Robert Cowan lives there and they had The Hubs over for Thanksgiving. He sent me these pictures. Sorry for the fuzzy-ness of them.
The Hubs.
Holly Cowan, Robert and Chris’ daughter, and Chris Cowan, Robert’s wife.
So all in all, it was a great holiday. I missed The Hubs, Justin and William. Justin is in Alabama with his father, and William is in Colorado going to school and loving it.
I guess most people are out today doing all that crazy holiday shopping. I just can’t bring myself to do that so it’s tradition in my family to put up Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving so that’s what I will be doing today.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope your holiday was a good as mine. I feel very blessed.
Susie
